Welcome to Castle Farm Countryside Classroom! Nestled in the beautiful Burgh Castle, we provide a 3-acre site dedicated to alternative education for children needing extra support. We work directly with schools and the Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils to offer tailored education, life skills packages, and PES development for those who fall through the cracks of the traditional education system.
At Castle Farm, our activities are vast and varied, encompassing topics like agriculture, environmental studies, health and fitness, fishing, outdoor cooking, bushcraft, and tool use. Children are encouraged to be themselves, make mistakes, get dirty, and enjoy learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our journey began with transforming an overgrown site into a thriving educational haven, thanks to the incredible teamwork and passion of our dedicated team and the generous support from our local community. Our mission is to provide a safe and engaging environment for vulnerable children who may not fit into mainstream schools.
We offer experiential learning that goes beyond traditional education, including nature walks in Burgh Castle, museum visits, sports, and nature scavenger hunts. Our comprehensive programs focus on personal and social development, creative expression, and practical life skills. We believe in cultivating self-confidence, emotional resilience, and a positive outlook on learning.
